Easter Sunday at the Park 2010

by The Schricker's

Our first event with the Swiss Peninsula might have discouraged others, due to the weather.  However, we thought ourselves lucky, as the rain held off long enough for the Easter Bunny to play some games with the kids and to leave a little treat for them.  Our two little boys Peter(4) and Kurt(2) had a blast and are still talking about it.  Of course that was after a nice, warm cup of gluehwine for the adults and hot cider for the kids, followed by some very tasty Eggs Benedict.  What a great idea, those Eggs Benedict.  We have long been long involved with the Tell Club in the North Bay, however several people suggested we give the Peninsula Club a try.  They were right. We felt very welcome and included and were surprised to see so many young families, which is great for our boys.  So we look forward to more events where we can continue to have some Swiss culture, not only for our kids but ourselves as well.  We speak "schwyzerdeutsch" with the kids, so they're always glad to hear it from people besides us!
We thank you again for making us feel so welcome!
