Easter Sunday at the Park 2009

by Marlies Lee and Gabriele Miller

We had the best weather ever on this Easter Sunday at De Anza Park. Not too hot, too windy or too cold—just perfect.

The Egg Benedicts were scrumptious, and so were the Migros Easter eggs that I found and did not miss on the dessert table. Mmh, mmh…good! The Easter Bunny went far to get those. My kids are bigger now, too big to play with the Easter Bunny, but I got a glimpse of the cute white rabbit, and it brought back lots of nice memories of past Easter events with the Swiss club.

Now I belong to the group of adults that just come to enjoy the company of all the fun Swiss and Swiss friends to talk, talk, and talk! Thank you to all the helpers behind the scene; it was again a fantastic event.

I had a wonderful time at the Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch at the De Anza Park. I arrived late, but thanks to our great members, I did not have to wait long to enjoy the Egg Benedict and Champagne/Mimosa. I also received plenty of hard boiled eggs. Yummy, it was truly a pleasant Easter Sunday afternoon. Not to be missed!
