| PSC 2004 Semi-Annual General Meeting
Stevens Creek County Park, Cupertino
| Reported by Marilyn Hasler and Ernst Welti
Meanwhile, Joe Ott prepared the charcoal and cooked the BBQ. The ladies help prepare the tables; they were set with beautiful bouquet of flowers which made a nice ambiance. When the hikers returned we were all entertained with Swiss music driven by our president's sun powered invention. People were fascinated by Walter's solar powered work of art. Everybody had a great time eating, visiting and listening to many stories. Everyone enjoyed the BBQ spareribs and sausage. The varieties of salads were great. I for one truly enjoyed the potato salad and would like to thank whoever made it. A variety of desserts kept everyone happily enjoying all the extra calories.
The meeting was called to order. Secretary Monika Ryser read the minutes from the last general meeting in November. A motion was made and the minutes were approved without changes.
The loss of our long time member, Kurt Hansler was announced. A moment of silence was observed. We will all miss Kurt's friendly smile and happy greetings. He was a friend to everyone who knew him.
We also thanked Joe Ott for his hard work in preparing the great BBQ he cooked so willingly. He is such a great person whose personality shines through in whatever he does.
By late afternoon when the meeting was adjourned and visiting was over we started for the parking lot and there was the sheriff giving out parking tickets. Senior members who could show their emblem for Santa Clara County parks for free entrance were fortunate. Some people were not so fortunate and found tickets on their windshields. Sometimes being older has its merits.
